Turbine vacuum pump is compared to a water ring pump
- High efficiency: under the same operating parameters, the turbine vacuum pump is more than 25% more efficient than the water ring pump (in the current paper project, the water ring pump shaft power will be about 530 kW, and the turbine vacuum pump will be about 400 kW). Compared to a traditional Centrifugal Blower, the turbine vacuum pump also demonstrates superior efficiency in vacuum applications;
- Water saving: no sealed water consumption, can save 70% of the fresh water;
- Small area: turbine vacuum pump area can save 40~50% compared with water ring pump, and it requires less space than a standard Centrifugal Blower system;
- Can save the civil construction cost of the vacuum trench and the supporting equipment cost;
- Recyclable exhaust gas heat energy (about 100°C), the energy saving effect is more significant;
- The use of the turbine vacuum pump eliminates the scaling and corrosion problem of the water ring pump;
- There is no friction in operation and long service life (until 12 years without maintenance now);
- The maintenance cost of the turbine vacuum pump is low (replace the oil filter element and replace the 46 # (Class A) turbine oil once a year).
