Disc vacuum filters are highly efficient and reliable solid-liquid separation devices, widely used in various industrial fields such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and environmental protection.
The core structure of a disc vacuum filter consists of multiple circular filter discs arranged horizontally within a vacuum chamber. The negative pressure generated by the vacuum system forces the filter medium (such as filter cloth) to adhere tightly to the disc surface, achieving solid-liquid separation. When a suspension passes through the filter discs, solid particles are trapped on the filter cloth surface, forming a filter cake, while the liquid passes through the filter cloth into the vacuum chamber and is eventually collected or discharged.
From a technical perspective, disc vacuum filters utilize vacuum suction to accelerate the filtration process, offering faster filtration speeds and higher efficiency compared to traditional gravity filtration. The filter discs can be designed with a multi-layer structure to increase the filtration area and further enhance processing capacity. Furthermore, by adjusting the vacuum level and filtration time, the thickness and moisture content of the filter cake can be controlled to meet different process requirements.
