Core Components Of Pulp Pump

Pulp pumps are key equipment in the papermaking industry for conveying pulp, mainly consisting of a pump body, impeller, shaft, and sealing device. The impeller, as the core component, generates centrifugal force through high-speed rotation (the rotational speed directly affects the magnitude of centrifugal force), propelling the pulp from the center to the edge, while simultaneously creating a low-pressure zone for continuous pulp intake. The pump body volute employs a gradually expanding design, reducing the pulp flow velocity (e.g., from 5 m/s to 2 m/s) while increasing the pressure (up to 0.6-1.2 MPa), ensuring efficient conveying. The sealing device uses a mechanical seal (leakage <5 ml/h) or a packing seal, effectively preventing pulp leakage (maintaining a seal even at a concentration of 15%).

Pulp pumps are particularly suitable for conveying high-concentration pulp (8-15% solids content), significantly reducing the risk of pipeline blockage.
