Daily Maintenance And Upkeep Of Disc Vacuum Filters

Filter Cloth Cleaning and Replacement
The filter cloth is the core consumable of the disc vacuum filter, and its performance directly affects the filtration efficiency. Daily checks are necessary to ensure the filter cloth is not clogged, damaged, or aged. Cleaning Frequency: It is recommended to rinse the filter cloth surface with a low-pressure water gun after each shift, avoiding direct impact from high-pressure water jets to prevent damage to the fiber structure. Deep Cleaning: Soak the filter cloth in a 1%-2% dilute hydrochloric acid solution for 30 minutes weekly to remove scale such as calcium and magnesium ions. Replacement Standard: Replace the filter cloth promptly when its permeability decreases by more than 30% or when it shows obvious damage to prevent solid particle leakage and filtrate turbidity.

 

Vacuum System Maintenance
The vacuum pump is the power core of the disc vacuum filter and its operating status needs to be checked regularly. Oil Level Check: Before starting the machine daily, ensure the vacuum pump oil level is above the center line on the oil gauge. Replace the oil if it is cloudy or contains excessive water.
Exhaust Port Cleaning: Clean the vacuum pump exhaust port filter weekly to prevent dust blockage and a decrease in vacuum.
Seal Inspection: Inspect the seals of the vacuum pipes, filter discs, and distributor head monthly. Replace any aging or cracked seals immediately to prevent leaks that could affect filtration efficiency.

 

Transmission Component Lubrication: The transmission system of the disc vacuum filter includes the main shaft, reducer, and chain, which require regular lubrication to reduce wear.
Lubrication Cycle: Add No. 2 lithium-based grease to the main shaft bearings every 3 months. Change the reducer's industrial gear oil every 6 months.
Chain Adjustment: Check the chain tension monthly. The tension should be maintained between 5-8 kgf. Too loose a chain will cause tooth skipping, while too tight a chain will accelerate bearing wear.

 

Electrical System Inspection: Automated control disc vacuum filters require regular inspection of electrical components. Sensor Calibration: Calibrate the vacuum sensor quarterly using a standard pressure gauge. Adjustment is required if the error exceeds ±5%. Wiring Tightness: Check the wiring terminals inside the control cabinet monthly; loose connections can cause abnormal signal transmission. Moisture Prevention: In humid environments, place a desiccant inside the electrical cabinet to prevent components from short-circuiting due to moisture.

 

Seasonal Maintenance: Winter is a critical time to prevent equipment freezing. Drainage: After shutdown, drain any accumulated water from the vacuum pump and cooling water tank to prevent freezing and expansion damage. Insulation: In northern regions, wrap the vacuum pipes with insulation cotton to reduce heat loss. Preheat Start-up: In low-temperature environments, preheat the vacuum pump for 30 minutes before starting to avoid cold starts that could damage the mechanical seal.
